The nonprofit Kraus-Anderson Community Foundation has been established to support and sponsor events and activities that benefit communities in which the Kraus-Anderson family of companies reside and work. Working collaboratively with charities, community groups, area businesses and individual volunteers, we’re building stronger communities.

Kraus-Anderson Community Foundation recognizes the growing impact of mental health challenges across the construction industry and is committed to being part of the solution. Through Sporting Change, we bring together industry partners, colleagues, and community members to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and advance meaningful change.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 3rd Annual Sporting Change pickleball tournament on October 29, 2026! Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and supporters, this year’s event generated more than $125,000 in gross proceeds in support of mental health awareness and well-being.

Advancing Mental Health in Construction

The 2026 event will benefit SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education), a nationally recognized leader in suicide prevention, education, and advocacy.

Through its IBEAM (Ideal Body, Environment, and Mind) program, SAVE is helping bring mental health to the forefront of construction workplace culture. Designed specifically for our industry, IBEAM provides education, tools, and resources to help construction leaders and employees recognize mental health challenges, reduce stigma, and better support one another.

As one IBEAM-trained construction management leader shared:

“Mental health in both the workplace and at home is an increasingly important focus. We are observing a growing prevalence of mental health challenges and burnout across our industry, and we are committed to being at the forefront of meaningful support, awareness, and positive change.”

Together, we can make mental health a priority, support one another, and create a stronger, healthier industry.
